Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Bridging the Gap collects, why it is needed, and the choices available to players, families, coaches, and organizations.
Information we collect
We collect account identifiers, profile and role information, team relationships, uploaded or linked video, film-review requests, timestamped notes, training assignments, service communications, and basic security and usage records. Payment providers may process billing information directly.
How we use information
Information is used to authenticate users, provide private film analysis, connect feedback to training, build game plans, operate support, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve the service, and meet legal obligations. Youth footage is not used for advertising or unrelated model training.
How information is shared
Content is shared only with authorized users in the relevant player, team, coaching, or analyst workspace; service providers needed for hosting, storage, communications, and payments; or authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal information or player footage.
Youth privacy
Accounts or identifiable footage involving minors require parent or guardian consent and appropriate organizational authority. We minimize youth data, restrict access, and honor verified guardian requests to review or delete a minor’s information. The service should not be used by a child to create an independent account without adult involvement.
Retention and deletion
Active workspace data is retained while needed to provide the service. Users can request deletion of individual videos or an account. Unless law, a dispute, or security needs require temporary preservation, footage and associated analysis are targeted for deletion within 30 days of a verified request; backups may take up to 90 days to cycle out.
Security
We use authenticated access, private workspaces, access controls, encryption provided by our infrastructure, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid uploading footage beyond what is necessary.
Your choices
Depending on location, users may request access, correction, portability, restriction, or deletion of personal information and may withdraw consent for future processing. Contact privacy@bridgingthegap.basketball. We may verify identity before acting on a request.
