Video Consent and Youth Safety

Before uploading footage

• You own the footage or have authorization from the owner, event, school, league, team, or platform.
• Players and families received any notice or consent required for recording and analysis.
• The footage does not expose private spaces, medical information, school records, or unrelated personal details.
• Any linked platform permits the intended use and sharing method.

Parent or guardian consent for minors

A parent or legal guardian must authorize a minor’s account and the processing of identifiable footage, coaching feedback, and training records. The adult should understand who can access the workspace, the purpose of analysis, how long materials are retained, and how to withdraw consent.

Coach and organization responsibilities

Programs must invite only appropriate staff, keep rosters current, use footage solely for legitimate development and competition purposes, and avoid downloading or redistributing youth content outside the approved workflow.

Copyright and takedowns

Rights holders may report unauthorized footage to rights@bridgingthegap.basketball. Include the work, its location, your authority, contact details, and a good-faith statement. Access may be restricted while a report is reviewed.

Deletion and consent withdrawal

Players, guardians, and authorized organizations can request removal by emailing privacy@bridgingthegap.basketball. Identify the player, team, account, and footage. Verified requests are targeted for active-system deletion within 30 days, with backup deletion within 90 days unless preservation is legally required.

Safety concern?

Report suspected exploitation, harassment, unauthorized recording, or inappropriate access immediately to safety@bridgingthegap.basketball. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
